Creative development encompasses art and design, dance, drama, music, film and creative writing. We believe it is very important as art enables children to gain a broad and well-rounded education and allows children to develop their imagination and creativity. It teaches children to express themselves both as a means of self-expression and to communicate with others and helps children to understand the world visually. It supports children with problem solving and analytical skills, as pictures allow children to explore and test out ideas.
Julia Allinson, a textile artist came in to visit Bishop Martin on 10.11.17.
She worked with children from each class to create banners for the hall celebrating our Christian values. Have a look at the art in process and the children's final masterpieces!
